Philips 201B
Aimed at demanding graphics and CAD professionals, the Philips 201B sports a very high video bandwidth of 261 MHz, resulting in support for resolutions up to 1920x1440, at a dot pitch of 0.25mm. Among the screen controls supported by the monitor are pin balance, raster rotation, trapezoidal and pincushion adjustment, besides raster position and size. Overall, the image displayed in the convergence tests proved to be of acceptable quality, with the exception of one slightly blurred area in the upper right corner that could be corrected only after applying the screen controls. No audible noise was produced while switching from text to graphical mode, but there was a noticeable pumping during the signal on-off switching test. With very impressive resolution, this monitor delivers good image quality and is a very good choice for serious graphics and CAD applications.
